Creators Campus
The whole community sharing a meal at the long tables in the LightHouse dining hall

Lunch · every day, all summer

The best part of the day is the table.

The table

Lunch isn't a break from the program. It is the program — in a different room.

Students, faculty, and staff fill their plates and gather around the long tables in our dining room, where light pours in off the canal. The conversation is real: intergenerational, unhurried, analog. Check-ins happen here. Friendships form here. Ideas that start in the studio get finished over food.

This is what LightHouse has always understood — that the conditions around learning matter as much as the learning itself. The table is a condition. We tend to it deliberately.

The crew who cooks it — every plate made here, by them

Real food. Real community.

One less thing on your plate.

Every meal is prepared fresh in-house by our culinary team and their student collaborators — no cafeteria lines, no mystery ingredients. Nutritious, scratch-made, and rooted in the same values of craft and care that define everything we do here. Your student eats well. They may discover something they didn't know they liked.

Because lunch isn't something that happens to you here — it's something you help build. Students work alongside LightHouse's resident culinary team in our commercial kitchen, learning the fundamentals of from-scratch cooking, then carrying plates and serving neighbors — the full arc from raw ingredient to full table.

Something unexpected happens when students make the food: their classmates actually try it. The student who had never touched a leek will ladle it onto a plate and say, “I made this.” The classmate tries it. That's what ownership does.

Lunch is included with every Creators Campus registration.
