Holyoke · Canal District
An urban arts landscape.
Creators Campus sits in one of the most beautiful urban landscapes in New England — and most people are surprised the first time they see it.
The campus sits in the heart of Holyoke's historic Canal District — a planned industrial city that came to life in the mid-1800s.
Creators Campus is on Race Street, along the canal walk, where footbridges crisscross the canals that once spun massive turbines to power the entire city. The water that built Holyoke still runs right past the front door.
The campus also sits on the edge of Little San Juan, Holyoke's newly designated Puerto Rican cultural district — a vibrant neighborhood filled with colorful murals. It's the kind of place most Western Mass families have never had a reason to visit. That's exactly the point. Come discover it.

At the center of it
Our campus, on Race Street.
You arrive through a courtyard between three historic mill buildings. Inside: a commercial kitchen and dining hall, an 8,000-square-foot maker basement, studios for photo and creative arts, a third-floor common room over the canal, and two venues — the De la Luz Soundstage and the Divine Theater.

Creators Campus is a LightWorks Collective program, on the same campus that has been home to a decade of project-based learning at LightHouse Holyoke. The place is part of the education.
The future of childhood is changing. Let’s think about it together.
